Trainingsession 15 - 19 June Update

Wednesday

Easy 50 minutes

 

 

Thursday

Warm up 30 mins + 8x200m recovery 200

 

 

Friday

Easy run 40 mins

 

 

Saturday

5000m Race

 

 

Sunday

Easy run 70 mins

 

 

Change of plan for the remainder of the week. I was going to race in Glasgow over 3000m, but I'm now going to Dublin to run in the Irish Milers Club 5000m race Saturday.

 

The reason for the change is to help my brother Michael achieve the qualifying time for the European U-23 Champs . He ran 14.04 in Watford last saturday, and hopefully with some good pacing and some luck he can get under the 14 minute mark this Saturday.

Pace

Hey Packet, Hows things?

Not overly confident that I would be able to run sub 13.45 by myself with out a pacemaker. Going through 3km 8-10 seconds slower and at 14 minute pace should make it an awful lot easier and I should be able to hold 14 minute pace for the whole race - hopefully.

Good stuff pacing your brother, but is this not an oppertunity to attempt a 5k qualifier yourself?
