Athleteprofile

Hi, some of you may know me, but most of you won't, so a little introduction is needed. I started running when I was 10 with my local club Portlaoise A.C., whom I still run for in Ireland. I moved to Edinburgh in August 2007 to complete a Masters in Civil Engineering, and have remained here since I graduated in May 2010. I joined Belgrave Harriers in June 2008, met some really great people, if your a keen reader of Runnerslife, you'll know some of them too. I'm 25 now so the next few years are crucial to my athletics career, hopefully I'll have lots to write about and my blogs will be worth reading. Enjoy!

So two weeks on from the trial race, and I'm finally able to find time to write about how it went or perhaps, how it didn't go for me. English Cross Country Relays

On paper we had what looked like a team that could challenge for medals. The thing about relays and cross country is the race is never run on paper. Instead we ran around a muddy field in Mansfield. After landing in Heathrow at 7.05am, I was collected by fellow Belgravian Will Cockerell. Wi .. Read More
