Trainingsession week ending 10/10/10
Training
Mon Am 30 min easy run on the road, felt ok legs feeling pretty good and felt quite bouncy.
Pm 1hr 5 min run on the road and the grass at a steady pace, feeling good again feeling better than Am, avg per mile was 5:25
Tues Am Session warm up and down/session was 6x 5 min 1 min rec in between each one and then 4x 45 sec quick rec 45 sec and to finish off 4x30 sec quick as well, felt quite tied at the start of the reps but as it went on felt better and got into it, we started on the road and then onto the grass to make a little bit tougher with the hills where we run.
Wed Am 30 min run easy on the grass, body feeling tied this morning after session last night but there you go that’s life just get on with it.
Pm 1hr 5 min run on the road and grass, steady pace avg per mile was 5:30 felt ok not great but same as this morning cant feel good all the time.
Thurs Pm Session warm up and down, session was jog stride on the grass which is run quick for 200 metres and then jog 40 metres and 200 metres on the other side and on and on in total 25 min running and works out 26, 200s
Like this session as it works on stamina and change of pace just like a race.
Pm on the bike turbo trainer 35 min cadence medium
Fri Pm 1hr 10 min run on the road and grass fairly easy run as feeling tied so just listening to my body.
Sat warm up and down, session with the use of the heart rate monitor had to run 20 min at 165 bpm and then 3 min at 175 bpm 1 min jog and 3 min at 185bpm, was good to use monitor don’t use it that often but helps me to find out about pace judgement.
Pm 30 min easy run on the grass
Sun Am 1hr 40 min run easy on the grass, nice and relaxed enjoying the last of the sun before it turns cold and wet
Pm spinning on the turbo trainer easy cadence just loosen my legs up.
Good week of training happy the way it is going at the moment just going through the gears nothing to heavy in till November when the real heavy work begins.
