Trainingsession week ending 19/06/2011
Training
Mon: Am 30 min easy at 7:30 pace on the grass, felt ok legs bit tied.
Pm: 1hr 5 min Steady run on the road and grass pace avg was 5:35 pace felt better than this morning so that's a bonus.
Tues: Pm Session warm up and down/5xlaps and the hill picking up the pace ,each lap is just over 1km on the grass, idea was to run the lap at a good pace and then pick up the hill, not the greatest session ever felt tied and trying to pick up the hill was a struggle whole body felt crap but after last two weeks of hard sessions and big mileage not really a surprise.
Pm: Circuits 45 min.
Wed: Am 30 min easy run on the roads felt ok still feeling tied from yesterday's crap session, avg pace 7:30 pace.
Pm: 1hr 5 min on the road steady pace avg pace 5:40 felt too much of an effort to run at this pace but stuck with it.
Thursday: Pm Session warm up and down/8x3min on the road and grass 1 min rec in-between each one, felt better today legs starting to feel like mine again and getting some bounce in them.
Pm Turbo trainer 30 min easy cadence.
Friday: Pm 1hr 10 min steady run on the grass and some on the road avg pace 5:40, again feeling better again.
Sat: Am Session warm up and down/3k-2k-1 with 90 sec in between around a undulating loop,8:40/5:48/2:45/ felt good today legs starting to get moving again after big mileage when away in Portugal, felt good and strong and felt happy considering did the session by myself and was windy.
Pm: 35 min easy run on the grass just to loosen the legs after session this morning.
Sunday: Am 1hr 45 min run over the hills and some done on the road, easy pace time on my feet and to let me have an easy day.
Turbo trainer easy cadence 30 min
An average week of training legs tied from Portugal so knew it was going to be a tough week ,but as the week went on felt better so hopefully next week should be back to normal.
