Trainingsession Week Ending 26 july
Training week 26/7/2009
Mon: Pm 1hr 15min runs steady at 5.45 / 6 min
Pm: Spinning class 45 mins on bike
Tues: Am 30 mins easy at 645/ 7min mile in
Pm: Session Warm-up 20mins then 2oo metres/ 30/32 secs: rec 30 secs then 300 metres about 47 /49 secs: 30 secs rec, then 400 metres 62 /63 and 3min jog intill next set ,4 sets all together warm down 20 mins
Wed: Pm 1hr 12min steady pace over muilti terrain
Pm circuits and core workout total 50 mins
Thursday Pm: Session Warm-up 20 mins then 15x2mins 1 min rec in between then warm down 20 mins on grass
Friday: Pm 1hr 10 mins run easy pace over muiti terrain surface let legs rec for sat session
Sat: Am Session loop on grass over 1.2km had to do 2laps picking up at different points then some times first lap quicker and other way around rec between each set was 90 secs 5x 2laps in total then warm down
Pm Easy 30 min run letting legs rec from session
Sun: Am Long run over muti terrain course 1hr 45 min easy
Sun Pm 30 min on Bike (Spinning bike) Easy loosen legs up
Overall good week of training in the bank felt pretty good most of the week looking forward to racing this sat coming to get the legs moving in a race situation , week coming up of training by myself countdown on to training guys back roll on

Hi thanks for you`re comment,i use spinning as a extra fitness tool which i finds helps my training,but as you also pointed out i use it instead of a extra run sometimes, plus i use it after sessions/races just by turning the legs over to help get rid of lactic acid which i founds help my recovery time, quite lucky that i have been given some training equipment to help ,thanks for the question hope this explains

Darren, what's the idea behind the spinning sessions on the bike? I guess it is to reduce impact from more miles but do you think it aids running?
