Update 2012
Update
First things first Happy New Year to all you Runnerslife readers hope you all had a great Xmas and a very drunken new year.
First things first sorry for not blogging as often as I did towards the end of last year had some bad Family news that knocked me back and meant time was even more precious than normal and trying to juggle that and everything else was very difficult at this time, but things have got better and now I should be back on it.
Christmas Day was great got out at 7am for 1hr 10 min managed to run all the way on the road and didn’t see one car. I don’t know what is about running on Xmas morning but I love it, by far the best day of the year to run so quiet apart from the houses you run past and you can year the children screaming with happiness of what Santa has got them, as Alfie is now over 1 year and half years old he still doesn’t understand the concept of Xmas yet but still enjoys opening the presents he got, next year will be the first one he understands so no doubt he will be telling us what he wants, and that means that I will have to dress up as Santa I could be the skinniest Santa yet but in a strange way I am looking forward to dressing up.
Managed to get out for an easy 30 min on Xmas day evening, well I say run I was still full up and ready to explode so more off a waddle to be fair managed to run some of the dinner off so I could eat some more in the evening result.
I had a pretty could week of training this week (see training schedule) just gone with 3 good sessions that seemed to be all pretty good apart from Thursday session which was crap but got it done, fitness wise I think I am in good shape but as we know training and racing shape is totally different, got the county champs this sat coming so we shall see what needs to be done to sharpen me up for the big races coming up in Jan/Feb.
As I am sitting here writing this on the first day of a new year with still a bit of a fuzzy head (never drinking again) I have most of my goals sorted out and I will let you know in the next blog what they are.
Once again Happy New Year hope all you’re running goals come true and that you have the best year of running yet.
By the way only 208 days left before the Olympic Games start can’t wait.
