Solid race. Didn't get off the line particularly well and then got pushed to the back which hurt me a little as I quickly made my way from the back to 3rd place. The pacemaker did a solid job and ran a very even pace but I would have prefered to get out faster. Going through 800m I was feeling very comfortable and confident but once I hit the 1km mark I all of a sudden struggled to lift.

Breaking 4minutes on an average day feels great because just last year the mile was a nightmare distance for me.

If you watch the race from the link above you will notice I had a bit of a soft part of the race between 1200 and 1400 but during my lap I really managed to rescue my race and just knuckled down.

I have to shout out to De'sean Turner and David Bishop as they were so close to breaking the infamous barrier. Soon enough not only are they both going to break 4 they are going to SMASH it.

Off to the UK on tuesday to get ready for the UK trials so my next race report will hopefully be about a successful performance in Sheffield.
