Andi Jones - Salford 10k / Rivington Pike Fell Race
While most were enjoying the long weekend Andi Jones raced twice at the Salford 10k and Rivington Pike Fell race before he enjoyed his Easter eggs! First up was the Salford 10k where he came forth in a time of 30:35 which was just 33 seconds behind the winner Antony Ford. Andi was happy enough with his result although a bit faster would of been nicer and he said "I finished in 4th in 30.35 and was pleased with this, 15 seconds faster and I would have been even happier but it's a step in the right direction. I need more track work and speed work so hopefully by the time I get to the Manchester 10k I will be aiming to dip under 30 minutes".

Next up over the weekend was the fell race where Andi claimed victory in 17:08 a minute clear of second place. Andi is quite at home on fell racing but has not done as much as he would like in recent time so saw this as a chance to practice before an up coming race in Snowdon, "I wanted to do this race as I am going to run the Snowdon Race again this July and need to get used to running up and down some good climbs" said the Salford Harrier.
