Ben 2nd In 65.07
On Sunday 22nd February Ben Moreau took part in the Wokingham Half Marathon and finished in 2nd place in a new personal best of 65mins 07seconds. Going into the race with no real time goal Ben tried to stay with eventual winner Ndayisenga and think about the time once he crossed the line, Ben said "I planned to run this race hard, but had no target in mind. Ndayisenga got away after 4 miles but was never out of sight and I was aware I was running at PB pace and just told myself to keep focussing on catching him".

Ben who is targeting London Marathon in April will be starting his big mileage blocks soon and wanted to test the legs over the 13.1 mile distance. "Running most of the race on his own shows Ben is very strong at the moment 'I ran 9 miles of it 'alone' but kept trying to catch Ndayisenga which kept me focussed and stopped me letting off the pace. I didn't expect a PB at all, I haven't started my 'proper' marathon work yet and was just using this as a hard run out to try and move my fitness on again. I was hoping for sub 66, but to run a PB is a big bonus!"
