Darren 4th At Parliment Hill
Darren Deed ran in the South of England cross country as part of his build up to the Barcelona Half Marathon later this month and finished in his favourite position it seems in this race. Darren ploughed through the muddy 15k course at Parliment Hill taking the team title for Bedford&County AC.
Darren said "Going into the last mile we were lapping back markers and Kevin Haywood managed to get past the 3 of them but I got slowed down if only for a couple of seconds but that is all it takes when you're legs are tired. He got a gap and held it there until the finish, but fair play to him he took the chance and got it, so I ended up 4th for about the 4th time in 5 yrs which I was gutted about but I will take the disappointment and move on to the Nationals were I will hopefully be in my best shape and get in the top ten again"
"We won the Team event which was good to get our title back and I must congratulate my team mate Neilson Hall for winning the race!"
