Nick Wins Back To Back National Title

Not since Chris Thompson has a Junior won back to back National XC titles but on Saturday Nick Goolab became the 6th athlete in history to do so. After a lap Nick and fellow Birmingham University friend, James Wilkinson, ran clear coming down the steep bank. Nick kept pushing the pace and was soon a few metres clear of the Leeds athlete.

Nick made lightwork of the hills and ran his own path saying "On the first lap I seemed to be running a different path to everyone else but was sure I had the right line on better ground, I pushed on and tried to get a gap over 'Wilko'. I am really happy and glad to win it back to back and as my last time as a Junior".

Nick was quick to ring his coach, fellow RunnersLife athlete (Steve Sharp) to share the good news after the race!
