Ryan Sets New Personal Best At Watford 3,000m
Ryan Mcleod set a new personal best and finished just 2 seconds behind world class athlete Craig Mottram who is returning to fitness after some time out. Ryan, who will be running next weekend in the stretford 5,000m went into the race relaxed and as a means to an end to achieve his 5,000m goal this summer, Ryan said after the race "What can I say, you have those days that feel just perfect and last night was one of them! I went into the race with no expectations and just knowing i'd nailed a really good session at the end of last week (5x1mile) and because I had a sore calf I backed off my training a slightly more than I should have between then and last night. Maybe by doing it had freshened me up even more which couldn't have been that bad. The first aim was to break 8 minutes and run a pb and the next aim was to just hang onto the leaders as long as I could and see what happened".
