Simon Lawson To Take A Break From Running
European Junior Silver medalist Simon Lawson who has just recovered from two broken ankles (broke second ankle on first run back from recovering from the first brake) has decided to call it a day to focus on his studies and enjoy other sports. Simon who is also a very talented footballer and had previous trials with Manchester Utd has not totally ruled out a return but it is unlikely.
Simon, famed for his huge mileage broke the Junior UK Half Marathon record in 2009 and split opinion on his training will now focus on becoming a doctor. "I have decided to call it a day to enjoy other sports and have more time to do other things, I have enjoyed my time running but I can't see me ever coming back at this point......but you never know!" said Simon.
