A busy weekend for cross country with the midlands, northern and southern cross country all taking place with a fair few of the RunnersLife athletes taking part for the respected clubs as the weather took a turn on the chilly side. Most of the RunnersLife athletes were to be seen at the northern event with four athletes in the race, with Jonny Mellor just missing out on a medal even though he openly admits he is far from happy with running over this surface.
Altrincham team which included Dave Norman and Matt Barnes also won the team event and stopped Leeds domination of the northern cross country.

In the Saucony Southern Cross Country Phil Wicks was looking to add to his South titles but just missed out to Ben Tickner over the tough course in Brighton. Darren Deed was also in the race and came in the top ten making ninth place. It was a very close race with just four seconds seperating the front two and under a minute covering the first eight places.
