Weekend Results 17th/18th July
England Track Championships - Gateshead
Three RunnersLife athletes were racing at Gateshead in the England Championships which also counted as the Trials for the Commonwealth Games later this year. Ryan McLeod picked up a bronze medal in the 5,000m finishing just behind winner Mark Draper and second place athlete Nielson Hall.

Also taking on the 5,000m was Lily Partridge who finished in 5th place in 16:37, Lily did a lot of work at the head of the chasing group and said after the race "It was ok. It was a bit windy and I did a lot of the work for the chasing group but I felt strong at the end and managed to hold of the pack behind me for 5th which was good".

Jonny Mellor made it to the final of the 1500m and ran to 6th place with Nick McCormick taking the title in 3:42. RunnersLife 'Guest Runner' Ricky Stevenson finished in 3rd place taking the bronze medal.

Standard Chartered 5k / Nova Sunderland 10k
Phil Wicks went back onto the roads after Solihull 5k last weekend, he started with the Standard Chartered Great City 5k midweek and won the race in 14:07 with 2nd place (Toby Lambert) nearly a minute behind in 15:02. Phil's soon to be wife won the women's race in 17.03.

Phil then headed to Sunderland for the 10k Nova event where he finished 4th place overall and 1st British athlete in 29:01 on not the easiest of course's.
