World Cross Country Trials

This weekend at Crofton Park, Birmingham it is the World Cross Country Trials as part of the final UK McCain Challange. There could be some RunnersLife athletes taking part this weekend and looking to make the Great Britain team.

Lily Partridge - Winner last year in the Junior women race and should be challanging again, Lily said "I am feeling confident, I struggled a little since nationals but starting to feel good again, injury is fine havent had any problems with for weeks now, there are lots of girls at a good standard at the moment, so got to look at everyone but the main contenders who I will be looking at are; Kate, Emelia, Beth and Hannah... but someone else is sure to spring a suprise so just take it as it comes on the day. We will all be looking at each other".

Nick Goolab - Won last weekends National XC in his last race as a junior and may turn up in his first race as a senior. A very good cross country runner if he does decide to run he should up the front of the field.

Darren Deed - Always a threat on the country surface and this could be his race. Soon to be a dad, Darren may not make it but on his day he might sneek into the reckoning come saturday.

Ryan McLeod - Has had a slight injury and came down with a cold just before the Armagh 5k but still managed a 14.15 5k on the road so if he is back to full fitness and is on the line he will also be in the lead pack for sure.

Good Luck to all athletes running on the weekend!
