Hi,
Lily Partridge Posted on January 25th, 2010Yes, as I explained in the other comment blogs none of it is fast running, its all 7minute per mile or slower so im jogging. None of it is what I call 'stress running'. I understand the whole 4xbody weight thing, but to be honest if my bodys holding up to it day by day then why should I miss a run, if im fine and not getting a reaction. Im not someone who takes a day of just "because its the done thing". If I need a day off I will take one otherwise il just get on with it. I have clearance from my physio to do everything that is on these training programmes.
Sorry if that seems a bit 'to the point' but im not stupid and I wouldn't do anything that I thought would hurt me or put myself out for longer....
Thank You
Lily x
Hiya Lily,
Cautious observer Posted on January 25th, 2010One quick question. It seems to me you have jumped quite quickly from minimal amount of mileage to 70's. do you think it is neccessary to jump up so quickly?
from a medical view (my background) it seems excessive stress to put on your body so soon after starting running again.
training in the gym is one thing, put the stress on your legs is around 4x body weight during a run.
I wish you the best of luck in your comeback.
