Hey Big.D,

It depends on how long I've had off. If I had a short time off then I can run really well off it. This has actually happened a few times, the best example being the weekend before the European Cross in Dublin. I was ill and if you look through my training logs from around that time (December 2009) I think I had 4 days off the week before the race. I then came out and had a stormer!
But if I've been off and had a big break (like when I had 5 weeks off during the summer) i feel a bit weird when I start running again. It feels strange and as if my whole body is completely out of sync with my legs. It feels like my legs are all over the place and nothing is co-ordinated! It's very strange for the first few days.
When you're smashing training out day in, day out it's amazing what a day or two off can do. It allows your body to recover and most of the time (for me anyway) it can freshen you up. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the read,

Hi nick
Sometimes after returning from training for a while out due to an injury or illness i feel that i can run better than i could before(perhaps due to rest!?!) Do you ever feel the same?
