Trainingsession 21/12/09-27/12/09
Training during the Christmas week.
Monday- 50 mins plus core exercises. Felt fine.
Tuesday- 50 mins. Ok
Wednesday- am: Run with a fartlek in the middle. It was 2 miles, fartlek then another 2 miles. The fartlek was 2x30s, 2x45s, 2x60s, 2x90s, 2x2mins, 2x45s and 2x30s, with the recovery being the same as the rep. The first two miles was at 7:04 pace and the fartlek was at 5:00-5:20 pace. It was very icy so it was hard to run quick so I just ran as hard as I could for the amount of time. The final two miles was at 6:57 pace.
pm: 30 mins easy.
Thursday- am: 30 mins easy with prehab work.
pm: 35 mins steady. Felt good.
Friday- 60 mins plus core. Fine.
Saturday- Run with an acceleration in the middle. It was two miles, then 5 mile acceleration with mile splits of 6:00, 5:50, 5:40, 5:30, 5:20 and then another 2 miles. First two miles were at 6:32, then 6:01, 5:45, 5:36, 5:28, 5:18 and the last two miles at 5:55 pace. Was a hard run especially with the wind and a few hills. I was breathing pretty hard but got through it.
Sunday- 75 mins.
69 mile week

Cheers Dave!!
Nick Goolab Posted on December 31st, 2009It was a hard week but I had my easy week the week before, so to me this was just a normal training week. Plus its the holidays and so there is not much to get done, so it should be no problem finding one or two hours in my day to do a run or some other sort of training.
Steve did dictate the week and I think he trained harder than I did!
Thanks for the read,
Nick xxx
Xmas training

Saturday session looks tough!
Did Sharpy dictate this weeks training programme- wonder what he put in himself? lol
Well done and a happy successful 2010 on road, country and track!
