Trainingsession 25/5/09-7/6/09
Been a bit lazy posting on the site, sorry. Here's the training over the last couple of weeks.
Week 1:
Monday-30 mins jogging. Felt ok.
Tuesday- Stretford BMC, 800m. See race report.
Wednesday- 53 mins easy with Wilko, Loz Walker and Carl Smith. Averaged 7:30 miling at 128 bpm. Not too bad.
Thursday- Light track session. Did 4x200m off a lap working on my 800m start. Steve said to do them starting in different lanes at the 800m starting points, had to try and be a bit quicker off the mark. Did 27, 27, 26, 27. Was a bit tired.
Friday- 30 mins jogging. Not too bad.
Saturday- Sports City BMC Grand Prix, 800m. See race report.
Sunday- 70 mins easy. Took it easy and had a heart rate of 137 bpm.
35 mile week
Week 2:
Monday- 47 min jog. Heart rate 127 bpm. Was very sore all over due to a big football and cricket match the day before.
Tuesday- Track session. Got down to the track and really didn't want to train because of the soreness. Did the session anyway which was 12x200m off 45s recovery alternating between 31 and 27. Did 31, 27, 30, 28, 30, 27, 30, 27, 31, 25, 30, 25. Then a few strides after. Felt quite comfortable even though I felt rubbish before the session and decided to pick the last two hard reps up a bit.
Wednesday- 1 hour easy with core. Averaged 7:36 miling with 130 bpm. Felt ok.
Thursday- Tempo on the track. Session was 3x1 mile off 200m jog in 90s in 4:50-5:00. Did 4:48 (166bpm), 4:46 (172 bpm) and 4:50 (173 bpm). Was really hard work and the legs felt really heavy. Because I felt bad I decided to pull out of the British League on the weekend.
Friday- 45 mins with core. Averaged 141 bpm at 6:45 miling. Felt like I was running quite hard.
Saturday- Track session in the horrible wind and rain. Did 1600, 1200, 800 very hard off 8 mins recovery, managed 4:20, 3:14 and 2:06. After that helped Steve on one of his reps and ran his last 800 in 2:24. Was really hard work and one of those sessions where I just started hard and tried to hang on.
Sunday- 72 mins easy. Averaged 139 bpm at 7:03 miling. Nice and easy.
49 mile week.
