Trainingsession 26/10/09-1/11/09

Monday- Today's training was all done at 7:30 am due to a hectic day. I started with the resistance work in the gym and then moved on to an hour run before lectures. The mile splits were 7:16, 6:46, 6:28, 6:32, 6:19, 6:21, 6:25, 6:27, 6:05 and 5:51 pace for the last couple of minutes. I felt really good even though it was 8:30 in the morning and I'm pleased with those splits.

Tuesday- am: 41 mins easy plus prehab exercises.

pm: Session cancelled as Steve had to go get Maria from the hospital. Instead I did half an hour and bounced along at what felt like quite a brisk pace.

Wednesday- am: 30 mins easy

pm: Was by myself for this session so could've done a session last night with the uni group but anyway it was a track sesssion of 1k, lap jog, 6x400m off a min. Times were 2:49, 65, 64, 63, 64, 64, 63. Felt a bit heavy and like I was running fast but going nowhere, times were still good though.

Thursday- 40 mins easy. Felt fine.

Friday- 30 mins easy with with a few guys from uni. Felt ok.

Saturday- National Cross country relays. See race report.

Sunday- 75 mins with core and prehab. Felt really good even though I was drenched the whole time.

58 mile week.

morning training times

Nick
Its a hard life being a runner and student!
Monday morning training at 7.30am- poor you.
Other runnerslife athletes and many others are up at 6am nearly every morning on dark, cold, wet morning to put in the required work and miles!
Names like Andy Jones and Phil Nichols come to mind!
