Trainingsession 29/3/10-4/4/10

A big Easter week.

Monday- am: 40 mins easy plus circuits.

pm: 40 mins steady and 5x5/6s hill sprints. Felt fine.

Tuesday- am: 30 mins easy

pm: Track session of 6x300m off 50s then 6x200m off 200 jog. Did it in flats and the times were 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 28, 28, 28, 28, 27, 27. Felt quite flat tonight. Running these times felt a lot harder than when I ran a 26 last week and a 42 a few weeks ago, I think that was because of the recovery. The first two 300's I felt ok but then the third or fourth was when the lactic really kicked in. It's good though because I've never done much lactic work in the past and it's something I need to do if I want to run well on the track.

Wednesday- am: Easy hour. Felt a bit tired from the session.

pm: Circuit training. Not as tired as I was during the run.

Thursday- am: Session of 2x10 mins at tempo off 2:30. My Garmin ran out of juice and I don't have the charger with me so had to do this by feeling. The loop I did the reps in had quite a bit of wind during the last 4 mins which didn't help matters. I tried to run them so there was a bit of lactic in my legs but not too much, I figured that would be about tempo heart rate. The first one felt ok and last three mins of the second one was hard work, happy with the session.

pm: 30 mins easy. I tried to do hill sprints aswell but rain made the grass hill I wanted to go on too slippery so didn't bother.

Friday- am: 50 mins. Felt fine.

          pm: Core and prehab exercises.

Saturday- am: Session of 8x2 mins off 90 running them alternate tempo then hard. Felt awesome during my strides and it transferred into the session. The tempo ones were ok and I nailed the hard ones as hard as I possibly could and I felt like I was moving well. Again, without the Garmin I had to do this by feeling but I think I got it right, would have been good to see my paces though.

              pm: 30 mins easy.

Sunday- am: 75 mins. Didn't feel great at the start but got better as the run went on.

            pm: Core and prehab exercises.

73 mile week (maybe my biggest week ever?)
