Trainingsession 30/11/09-6/12/09

Not as much training as usual but still a good week.

Monday- am: S&C resistance work.

pm: 1 hour run with the Garmin. Splits were 6:50, 6:14, 6:03, 6:11, 5:58, 5:58, 6:11, 5:53, 6:06 and 5:58 pace for the last mile. Felt very good.

Tuesday- am: 25 min jog.

pm: Session with Steve and Mark Miles on the track. Session was 8x600m in 68 lap pace then 66 lap pace. Recoveries were a minute after the 68 600m and 2 mins after the 66 600m. Times were 1:42, 1:40, 1:42, 1:39, 1:41, 1:38, 1:40 and 1:38. I felt so relaxed in this session even though there was a wind down one straight.

Wednesday- Felt a bit rough but still did the hour run Steve set me but toned it down pace-wise. Again, wore the Garmin and the splits were 6:51, 6:17, 6:20, 6:13, 6:14, 6:21, 6:13, 6:02, 6:00, 5:50 pace for the last 3 and half mins. Couldn't believe those splits when I saw them, I felt extremely comfortable.

Thursday- Still rough but a bit better. Steve originally set me a 7 mile run but then found out I was ill the day before and set me an easy run instead. Because I felt a bit better he let me do the 7 mile run. It was meant to be a mile easy, then alternating 5 miles in 5:50 and 5:20, and then another mile easy. Splits were 6:30, 5:52, 5:15, 5:41, 5:12, 5:40 and 6:02. This run was pretty tough as it was on a very hilly course. The 5:40 miles felt much easier than 5:40 miling a few weeks ago, glad I got this run done.

Friday- Rest day as still rough.

Saturday- Getting better but didn't want to risk anything by doing a session, so took another day off.

Sunday- Did a 30 min jog.

40 mile week
