Trainingsession 4/5/09-10/5/09
Monday- BUCS 1500M final. See race report.
Tuesday- 30 min jog in the morning and the same in the evening. Nice not doing fast things and the legs felt good.
Wednesday- 50 mins with core. Legs felt good after recovery day.
Thursday- Grass session at a local park called Metchley, which is basically a rectangular field. We say it's roughly 1k round there but it's not it's under that. Also, there's no marked course so we don't quite run the same line every time. However, I had 5x1 lap off 2 mins running them hard, easy, hard, easy then hard. Did the reps in 2:35, 2:46, 2:35, 2:46, 2:34. Those times aren't too bad round there so I was very pleased with the session, especially as it was very windy.
Friday- 30 mins jog in the morning then 30 mins steady in the evening with core. Legs were a bit tired on the second run.
Saturday- Track session with Steve. Did 1 mile at tempo-ish pace, 10x300m off 50 walk, 50 jog, 1 mile at tempo pace again. Times were 4:40, 45, 44, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 4:36. Felt good on the first mile and 300's, but calves were really bad on the last mile. probably because I was in spikes. Great session.
Sunday- Solid 70 mins
