Trainingsession 7/12/09-13/12/09
The training the week before the big day.
Monday- 29 min jog. Legs ok but coughing a breathing a it heavier than I would like.
Tuesday- Track session with Steve. He had 3x1mile but running them in a specific way. First 200 in 30, then the next in 40, and doing that for the whole mile. On the first 2 I only did 7 of the 8 200's and on the last one I did the whole mile. I took the pace the whole session and the legs felt very good, it was as if I hadn't been away for the two days. Again, the breathing was heavy but Steve said that was supposed to happen.
Wednesday- 40 min jog. Ok but again breathing.
Thursday- 20 min jog, 6x45s strides and then 20 min jog. Felt good. Legs had a bit of lactic on the first couple of strides but ok after that.
Friday- 30 mins a bit quicker than jogging. Legs felt good but the breathing was quite heavy. It was cold and foggy so that may have been why. Travelled to Dublin later in the day.
Saturday- 20 mins easy at the course. Ok.
Sunday- European Cross. See race report.
