The Thomas family did us really proud last weekend in the London Triathlon .
There were mixed fortunes but overall it turned out to be a very sucessful day: -
Ceri finished a superb 2nd in her category over the Olympic Distance and now has a firm hold on the bragging rights until the next family venture.
Jeff suffered after a real struggle in the swim, which on reflection was expected as no specific training was undertaken in this discipline.
Zowie who holds strength in her running was unfortunate to experience a puncture in the bike ride, which took her out of contention for places.
Ceri's total time was an excellent 2 hours 51 minutes 55 seconds and a brief summary of her splits were as follows: -
Swim 24.50
T1 4.53
Bike 76.50
T2 3.05
Run 62.18
Full details of Ceri's performance may be viewed here.
Well done Ceri!
