Another successful monthly Social evening and our third.
The evening kicked off with our Treasure Hunt and I am sure no-one expected it to be so much fun and such a testing training session, particularly those of us who must have doubled the distance we needed to run through some dire clue reading! Good job we are not an Orienteering Club.
Hope that lady in London House finally got some rest and she never even knew there was a burglar alarm on the side of her house until last night.
The Results were pretty close and Rebecca Hambrook and Antony Williams took first prize (£5.00 each) by just one point amassing 26 points, with three teams on 25 points and four teams on 24 points: -
26 - Rebecca and Antony Phillips (63.04)
25 - Roger and Natalie (44.38)
25 - Anthony Powell and Sarah Dunscombe (53.10)
25 - Lee Bodenham and Stuart (73.54)
24 - Andy Dunscombe and Rhian (46.06)
24 - Carol and Barry (59.20)
24 - Charles, Alwyn and Eryl (66.45)
24 - Paul and Nadia (74.35)
22 - Will and Jo Clarke (68.22)
22 - Romana and Debra (69.48)
21 - Julian and Steve (60.54)
21 - NicolaThomas and Geraint (74.30)
19 - Jane and Zoe (51.22)
12 - Jason Evans and Kate (83.10)
Well done Dave Rose for the preparation and organisation and we are all looking foward to the next one. For those who didn`t do this one you must not miss out on the next one.
Then it was on to our well deserved Chilli Con Carne evening and numbers swelled as those who spent hours putting their make-up on caught up with those who had worked hard running up and down Porthcawl for an hour or so, counting car parking spaces and lamp posts, whatever.
How great it was to see all the families enjoying themselves and children helping out with the collection and drawing out the raffle winners. Once again we all send a massive thanks to our special Rose:-

Thanks also to Sian Millan for helping Shirley out with the serving of food, Eryl James for helping with the clearing up and to Rhain Powell and her lovely girls for dealing with the Raffle.
As always we are very grateful for the donation of raffle prizes and this month we send our gratitude to the following: -
- Runnerslife for donating a box of 24 Lucozade Body Fuel satchets
- Mark Clatworthy and Gareth Roper for donating a bottle of quality Champagne
- Nicola Jones for donating a large selection of Body Lotions, Moisturisers, Body Washes, Bath Soaks etc.
- Gareth and June Welsh for donating a bottle of wine
- Deb and Chris Jones for donating a bottle of wine
- Will Edwards for donating a bottle of wine
- Anthony and Rhian Powell for donating a bottle of wine
With the addition of a box of chocolates provided by the Club, we hope you thought that the prize list was quite substantial.
Hopefully, we will see you all (and more) at our next Social evening, which will be a Barbecue if the weather is fine or a Lasagne evening if not?
