I first tried the calf guards on a journey to a road race, I did find that my calf's were not as stiff as pre usual after a long car journey. I also use them regularly after race where I find they are best! They really do help recovery after a hard run or race. I struggle to get off when pulling over the feet but then they have to be tight to work. I also really like the design on tights although it started to come off after a few runs but it doesn't affect the performance of the product.
I would buy 2XU products, I think it is well worth the money and will continue to buy the calf guards again in the future once these have had their day!

I've used them 5-6 times now.i bought these for better looks among similar-i thought- products, but turned out really disappointing. Compression at lower leg is minimal, in fact it feels like wearing a simple cycling lycra, while at gastrocnemius muscle level the compression is substantial. I don't think you get a decent gradual compression effect that way, let alone the overly tight rubber band on top that feels so damn uncomfortable half an hour later. The silver graphics have worn off already, pretty soon i'll have an all black pair..

calf guards
some of the serious distance guys at the club have started wearing them to sleep in after a tough race or session to aid recovery and prevent injuries.
