Review

Ah where do I start! I have been a fan of the Triumph for a few models now but when I first put these on I was not exactly sure about them. The Triumph 5 and 6 models where very soft, flexible and pretty light weight for such a cushioned trainer where this one felt stiff and a bit rigid. Like a good song though the more I wore them the more I loved them, I have since put the old models on and don't think I could go back to them now! The new Triumph is like the 'Hummer' of cars. I have already done around 300miles and they look hardly touched, running through trails they seem to excel as well with good grip and not even big stones get felt under the technology of the cushioning.

The price has gone up again for this model and I did go for the Vizi-Pro which won't be for everyone, but it has won me over and Saucony have done a good job. The only thing the old model has over it is maybe the weight and I would avoid racing in these where I might have in the 5 or 6 models.

Good Points

  • Colour
  • Cushioning
  • Durability
  • Arch lock support
  • Decent toe cap space
  • Comfort

Bad Points

  • Higher price range
  • Stiff to start with

Conclusion

A great shoe that just keeps on going, also like the Vizi-Pro colour as it is a bit different to most colours of white and black. Don't expect the same as Triumph 5 or 6 but has been made into a better shoe.
