Friday rest 28mins (7:05av) 4x100m strides incl.
Saturday 25mins easy + drills. National Road Relays 3rd team, fastest individual
Sunday 1hour 41mins easy (7:39av) rest

Another race week with solid miles too, I'm happy I can now race without having to back off too much. Felt very bad Thursday then still fairly bad Friday after injections on Wednesday, thankfully the heaviness cleared going into the race on Saturday. Also the Vo2 sub max on the Tuesday was a good indicator showing the training is working effectively right now.

I guess I just run fast when I need to run fast, the rest of the time it's all about letting the body recover for the next time I run fast! That's a philosophy I stick to. I just find my legs respond better to running easier and I still get my mileage in.

Hi Ryan,

I know your easy runs are easy... but even I can run 7.30 miles. Does it feel like you are holding back, is there benefit to running at that pace? It's obviously working, congrats on the relay split!
