A good week again with a bit more of a taper although still slightly higher than you would want for a 5k race. A good session Tuesday along with a couple of steady runs in there. Another week of the same next week and hopefully another good result.

Hi Jim Strong,

I do actually,I do less as I get to a race I target but back in hard training I will do them a few times a week. I dont really write it down as like you said 'extras' it is just a given I suppose. Have discussed this with Drapes with differing opinion and although I cant say it works for sure I do seem to stay pretty injury free so will carry on with them.

One thing you seem to be missing from your training schedules are core drills/circuits and light weights down the gym!
You have the time so what does the coach say?
They are great for strength, stability,power and improving running posture.
Consider the benefits!
