Tues - on the grass I did 5x3mins with min recoverys....4x70seconds with minute recovery....1x3:30. Felt ok and the grass is helping imprive my achilles rather than road or track.
Sat - again on grass I did 20x90seconds with 45secs recovery. quite early and very windy made it difficult.
Sunday - 3miles (6.15miling) then on a beach I did 9xmile with 2minute run recovery around 5.15's then another 3miles in 6min miling.

The beach I do efforts on is over 2 miles long, flat and although soft it's not like sand dunes, so it just helps with the impact of landing. its slightly harder to run on than road but seems to be kinder to my achilles. I find with road you can sort of 'cruise' where as if you start to ease off on sand you slow up a lot, making it harder. It's much nicer to run on than road with no traffic and as you have to run about 1.5miles to get to it there is very rarely many people there apart from surfers and the odd jogger or guy fishing.

Hi simon what is it like running on the beach? Do u feel any benefit of the resistan2e of the sand? What do you feel are the benefits and down sides?
