Tuesday - on the track for first time in a while for a light session after a tough race on the weekend. 2x800m (2.18's), 4x400m around 65's, 2x800m (2.18's). All with 90s recovery, no group although a girl joined me to do some 400's off me so all no one to do the work it was still nice to have a chat on the warm up and down.
Thurs - 13mile steady run (6-6.20 miling) with 2x6mins (450-5min miling), recovery was 3minutes at steady pace, then 6x2mins at simliar pace with 1min steady run recovery. Then after another 3minute steady run I did 6minutes starting steady and working all the way up to flat out for the last minute or so. Tough run and a long one!
Saturday - 5k race with Steve Davies at Park Run, 14.43 and then 30minutes steady running after.
Sunday - 20miles in just under 2:05.

Thanks, I have actually trained harder in the past at times but this is much smarter and as you say, more focused rather than just running hard every day. So far so good and I think George is very underrated.
